Nebbiolo is the black grape of Piedmont in north-west Italy and the only variety permitted in Barolo and Barbaresco. Barolo carries a long minimum ageing period — more than three years before the wine can be sold, part of it in wood — while this bottle is labelled under the Monferrato DOC instead.
MONFERRATO DOC NEBBIOLO is bottled at 14% ABV.
Expect dried rose, raspberry and woodsmoke from Monferrato Doc Nebbiolo. Rounded on the palate with a structured, gently drying finish.
