Tequila may only be made in designated parts of Mexico: the whole of Jalisco, plus listed municipalities in Guanajuato, Michoacan, Nayarit and Tamaulipas. Gold is not one of the four ageing classes those rules set down, so on this Sauza label it speaks to colour and says nothing about time spent in oak.
