DNA work has shown Cabernet Franc to be a parent of both Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which makes those two grapes close relatives. Merlot is the single grape named on this B & G Reserve label.
B & G MERLOT RESERVE WINE is bottled at 13.5% ABV.
Expect soft plum, black cherry and a little cocoa from B & G Merlot Reserve Wine. Rounded on the palate with a structured, gently drying finish.
