Pinotage did not turn up in a vineyard by chance. It was bred in South Africa by deliberately crossing Pinot Noir with Cinsault, and it is grown almost nowhere else, which is why on Indian shelves it appears almost only on South African labels. Chocoholic is listed as a wine made from that grape.

Chocoholic Pinotage leads with plum, berry and a touch of oak. The body is generous, the tannins firm but ripe, and the finish stays dry rather than sweet.
