Sangiovese carries Tuscany's reds — Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano are all built on it — and the grape is planted the length of Italy. It brings high acidity and firm tannin with a sour-cherry character. Desaal name it on the label, but where the fruit grew is not recorded.
DESAAL SANGIOVESE is bottled at 10% ABV.
Expect bright cherry, leather and a hint of balsamic from Desaal Sangiovese. The body is generous, the tannins firm but ripe, and the finish stays dry rather than sweet.
